Affiliate Setup Guide
for NeonPulse
Complete these steps to start earning commission every time a subscriber clicks through and books a Vegas show, restaurant, or hotel. Estimated time: 10–15 minutes.
0Before You Start
1Create Your CJ Affiliate Account
CJ Affiliate (formerly Commission Junction) is where you'll apply to OpenTable and Hotels.com. It's free to join as a publisher.
Go to signup.cj.com and click Publisher / Join Now.
Fill in your details: name, email, password, company name (you can use "NeonPulse" or your name).
For Website URL, enter: neonpulsevegas.com
For Website Description, say something like: "Las Vegas deal aggregator that curates the best show, dining, and nightlife discounts and sends personalized daily alerts to subscribers."
Confirm your email when CJ sends a verification link. Log in to your dashboard.
How long does approval take? CJ typically approves new publishers within 24–48 hours. Some programs auto-approve. Check your email and CJ dashboard regularly.
2Apply to OpenTable via CJ
OpenTable pays commission every time a subscriber books a restaurant through your link. Typical commission: 2–5% of booking value.
📋 What to say in your application
When CJ asks "How will you promote this program?", be straightforward:
"NeonPulse is a Las Vegas deal aggregator. We send daily email digests to subscribers featuring curated restaurant deals. Our audience is tourists and locals planning Vegas visits — OpenTable is a natural fit for dining-related conversions."
You can also mention: you already have an approved Impact.com account (Ticketmaster), confirming you have affiliate experience and compliance awareness.
In your CJ dashboard, go to Advertisers → Find Advertisers. Search for "OpenTable".
Click OpenTable's listing, then Apply to Program. Paste the description above when prompted to explain your promotional methods.
Once approved, grab your unique affiliate link from CJ and share it with me — I'll wire it into the site so all dining deal CTAs route through your link.
3Apply to Hotels.com via CJ
Hotels.com pays commission on bookings — typically 2–4% of total booking value. Strong fit for our audience of Vegas visitors.
📋 What to say in your application
"NeonPulse sends daily deal alerts to Las Vegas tourists and locals. Our subscribers actively plan Vegas trips and make hotel decisions — Hotels.com is a trusted brand they'll use to book accommodation near Strip venues."
In CJ, search "Hotels.com" in the Advertisers directory.
Apply with a similar description as above. Note that you're promoting to a Vegas-specific audience — that specificity often helps get approved faster.
Once approved, share your link with me. I'll add it to the site so hotel-related deal CTAs use your affiliate ID.
4Awin — Booking.com (Separate Platform)
Booking.com requires Awin — a different affiliate network than CJ. You'll need a separate Awin account to promote Booking.com. This is optional but adds hotel revenue potential.
Go to awin.com and sign up as a publisher (free).
Search for Booking.com in the Advertisers directory and apply. Booking.com is generally straightforward to join.
Once approved, share your Awin Publisher ID with me. I'll configure the Awin integration in our affiliate module.
Priority: CJ first (OpenTable + Hotels.com), then Awin. CJ alone covers two high-value programs — Awin is a useful addition but not urgent.
5Share Your Links With Me
Once you're approved, send me your affiliate links and I'll wire them into the site. Here's what I need:
OpenTable Publisher Link
Your unique CJ link for OpenTable. I'll map it to all dining deal CTAs.
